I spent about a week writing my UC supplements and Common App essay but was happy with the way they came out (especially UC essays). I thought my supplements were decent although it wouldn't have hurt to spend more time on them.

Don't think you need to spend a lot of time on your essays for them to be good. Trust yourself and your ability to write! It's not bad to spend time and perfect your essays if you need to but make sure they retain their originality. You know yourself better than anybody else.


Received Dean's/Regents' Scholarship for UCI.
